Moneynet champions consumer awareness with new insurance guide

Moneynet, the UK based price comparison and product research site, has just launched its ninth product guide in its series of consumer information publications. The new insurance guide joins the collection of other product manuals on moneynet ( http://www.moneynet.co.uk ) encompassing credit cards, mortgages, loans, life insurance, ethical investing, family finance and student finance. The insurance guide focuses on the most popular types of insurance, including home insurance (buildings and content), motor insurance and travel insurance. Within the motor insurance section, the guide includes detailed information on fully comprehensive insurance, third party insurance and speciality insurance. Moneynet was in the news earlier this year over travel insurance, when the price comparison website issued a press release in April warning the consumer to guard against exorbitant insurance premiums from high street travel agents. At the time Richard Brown, Chief Executive of moneynet was quoted as saying:"Single trip travel insurance can be obtained direct from a broker at very reasonable prices.

The difference in price can in our view only be accounted for by the commission that some agents are taking from the insurance company. As usual it is the consumer who loses out because of travel agents' greed."Research from the University of Warwick has shown that search capability is a powerful influence in overall consumer market choice, hence giving consumers the tools to shop around and empower them to seek the most competitive product. Of the insurance guide, Richard Brown confirmed, "the insurance market is full of pitfalls and our guide is designed to highlight some of the potential problems that people face when arranging their home, motor or travel insurance."Moneynet offers a separate life insurance guide, which contains a comprehensive review of the types of life insurance and an explanation of the relevant complex terms. Moneynet intend to expand this particular section over the next few months in response to widespread concerns that consumers do not have adequate protection and personal cover against risks that could leave them in serious debt.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *About moneynet:Moneynet.co.uk is the UK's most established personal finance research and data website. The history of yoga goes back 5,000 years. It originated in India, and the first time the word yoga was found in written form was in the Rig Vada, one of the sacred texts used by Vedic priests. Yoga is a means of achieving spiritual enlightenment.Originally, yoga techniques were passed down from teacher to student through word of mouth.

These techniques had never been written down until the Indian sage Patanjali wrote down a systematic method of yoga in the Yoga Sutras. Patanjali is considered to be the father of yoga. According to Patanjali, there are eight limbs of yoga, which lead to the ultimate goal of enlightenment.YAMA - abstaining from violence, stealing, lust, greedNIYAM - developing devotion, purity, studiousness, contentment, disciplinePRANAYAMA - controlling the breathPRATYAHARA...

10 Ways to Buy a Home With Little or No Money Down

There are many ways to buy a home, even if you have little or no money to put down. Here are a few of the basics:

1. Sweat Equity

Sweat Equity is a way to get a home by trading work for equity in the house. This could be used for a down payment or for purchase later.
This is a great technique if you are handy with tools, yard-work, and paint.

Look for fixer-uppers in neighborhoods you are interested in.

Many times these homes will have a hard time selling and the owner is ready for just about any offer. You will find these houses ranging from just needing a little "cosmetic" work like landscaping or painting, to totally trashed out houses in need of some serious renovation. If you are into repairs, this is a great way to get a home for a good deal.

If you are not skilled at repairs and renovation, be careful about fixer-upper homes. They could end up costing you quite a large amount of money to pay others to...
